Oily Post

There is actually one activity that Burmese people like to play on their new year celebration. I don't know what the game was call, but I will name it "Oily Post" this game was really hilarious and it was pretty hard to win kind of game! The materials are not much, they'll have one long bamboo log, any kind of oil (cooking oil also work), and people that will play the game (most of the time I only see guys playing).

How the game work is they will dig a hole in the ground and put a bamboo tree there then they will poke a little hole on top of the bamboo log. They will put something like a stick with flag or money on top of it then they will pour oil on top the bamboo log and make it really slippery. Then they will divide people into a group of three to four to capture the flag and  that how the game begin!!

They will go one group at a time to try and use all their strategies to climb on the bamboo log by using people that they have. They will have to make a human ladder and they aren't  allowed to use the real ladder.

And the team that successfully get the flag will be a winner of the oily post game and they will get the rewards that they are fighting for.
